BISHOP AUCKLAND GOLF CLUB DRESS RULES

 

Members, visitors and guests are expected to be smartly dressed at all times.

 

SHORTS – Tailored knee length shorts only may be worn on the course and in the clubhouse during daylight hours. Bermuda, football or combat type shorts are not allowed at any time).

 

    SHIRTS Dress shirts only may be worn outside the trousers in the clubhouse at any time. All shirts must have a collar and must not be sleeveless. On the course shirts must be tucked into the trousers at all times and the wearing of t-shirts, football, rugby and lumber shirts is not allowed at any time.

 

SHOES Sports training shoes must NOT be worn whilst playing on the course or in the clubhouse. Golf shoes must be worn whilst playing but not worn in restricted parts of the clubhouse.

Shoes & socks must be worn at all times in the clubhouse (except ladies)

 

TROUSERS Blue denim jeans, combat style trousers and tracksuits of all types are not allowed on the course or in the clubhouse at any time.

 

MOBILE PHONES - may be taken onto the course but MUST be switched to the MUTE function. They may be used in the Clubhouse. (Please be aware that certain phones severely interfere with Television Transmissions.)

 

ALL MEMBERS ARE EXPECTED TO ABIDE BY THE DRESS RULES AND EACH MEMBER IS TOTALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR VISITORS, GUESTS AND PLAYING PARTNERS IN REGARD TO THE RULES.

 

AS A MEMBER IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TELL SOMEONE IF THEY ARE NOT ABIDING BY THE RULES.

 

PLEASE ASSIST YOUR COMMITTEE IN MAINTAINING THE CORRECT STANDARD OF DRESS AT ALL TIMES.
